Abstract
Malaria was prevalent in Korea before the 1970s, and then it has been said that it was eradicated from the country based on the fact that no notification of malaria case was received from local health agencies. However, recently the prevalence of malaria is increasing in the world. Our concern is regardig the increasing number of cases of malaria owing to importation. We report hereby a case of imported malaria of P. vivax in a 52 year-old Korean man who worked for 5 months in Papua New Guiea and the Solomon Islands.
